COVID-19 tests can be PCR or at-home. Please note San Diego State University (SDSU) provides free, no insurance required, no appointment required, drop in COVID-19 tests for the general public courtesy of the County of San Diego. The testing site located at the Parma Payne Goodall Alumni Center, located at 5250 55th Street, San Diego, CA.
SDSU tests are available Tuesdays through Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Appointments are not required. Parking for those getting tested, including spaces for individuals with disabilities, is located in a designated area on the second level of Parking Structure 7. Anyone visiting for COVID-19 testing is required to wear a facial covering. More details here. While results have been provided same day, there are no guarantees, and we ask that you give yourself a forty-eight hour cushion to generate results.
For those that prefer to use a rapid test, here are the options for providing proof:
ID and the proof of negative test via the app that the Abbot Binax test provides (this is labeled on the box).
Anyone not able to use the app to download their test results should bring the unopened test to the Center where a COVID compliance Officer will help administer the test on site
COVID-19 theatre regulations apply to audience, cast, crew, volunteers, literally anyone to set foot on theatre grounds.
Note, to use religious or medical exemption, one only needs to reference the exemption verbally and present a negative COVID-19 test taken within seventy two hours.
